
These shots of Alcatraz were taken as part of my trip to the US for the GDC 2013. Apart from weeding out a lot of photos, all I’ve done to these is re-size them.
They are as shot in-camera using a built-in filter called “Dynamic.” This filter I came quite fond of as it allowed me to take photos in low light conditions without a flash, and really brought out contrasting highlights and depth of detail that would normally get wasted out.
For example, fine details like those in clouds and fog.
